What do we need for our Quick and Easy Homemade Pineapple Jam?

  • 500 g fresh pineapple chunks
  • 200 g sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)

How do we make our Quick and Easy Homemade Pineapple Jam?

  1. Blend the pineapple chunks into a smooth puree. You can leave a few small chunks if you prefer a slightly chunky texture in your jam.
  2. In a large saucepan, combine the pineapple puree, sugar, and lemon juice. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
  3. Once it reaches a boil, reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 25-30 minutes, stirring frequently to prevent sticking.
  4. The jam will start to thicken as the water evaporates. If you’d like to add a bit of warmth, stir in the ground cinnamon during the last few minutes of cooking.
  5. To check if the jam is ready, place a small spoonful on a cold plate and let it sit for a minute. If it thickens and doesn’t run, it’s ready. If it’s too runny, continue cooking and check again after a few more minutes.
  6. Once the jam reaches the desired consistency, remove it from the heat and let it cool slightly.
  7. Transfer the jam into sterilized jars, seal tightly, and let it cool completely. Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks or follow proper canning procedures for longer storage.

We enjoy our pineapple jam on toast, pancakes, with cheese or as a topping for our desserts!

👉 Tip: Put a tablespoon of the jam in a glass and fill it up with sparkling water for a refreshing pineapple lemonade.
